Note: You should go through the SimpleLog install process before importing.

Important: Your mt.txt file must conform to a specific format. See content file formatting for more details.

You must have a Movable Type-compatible export file called mt.txt. You can get this:

From Movable Type (Import/Export, click "Export entries from [blog name]")
From WordPress (use this plugin)
From TextPattern (use this script)

To import data

Name your exported file mt.txt
Copy this file your SimpleLog install: db/content_files
Run: rake simplelog:content:import

It may take a few minutes depending on the number of posts you're importing. If something goes wrong, you can start the import again without worrying about it duplicating entries--it's smart enough to know which it has imported before.
