ApprovingComments

Approving comments is a simple way to reduce spam. In addition to the blacklist, comment approval should help you keep a low amount of spam appearing on your site.

It's recommended that you require comment approvals. By default in a SimpleLog installation, all comments must be approved, but you can change this by altering your "Always approve?" preference (in the Content/Comments section of preferences). If you enable "Always approve," comments will be posted to your site immediately, which will increase chances of spam getting through.

To approve all unapproved comments

In the comments area of the admin section, click the "approve all unapproved comments" link in the upper-right. Confirm your action and all comments currently unapproved will be approved and will appear on your site. We recommend you only do this if you know all comments are legit.

To approve a single comment/comments one at a time

You can quickly toggle the approval status of a comment in the comments are of the admin section by clicking on the green or gray check mark for any comment in the list. Green means approved, gray means unapproved. It's also possible to change the approval status by editing the comment and (un)checking the "Is approved?" box and saving. To delete all unapproved comments

In the comments area of the admin section, click the "delete all unapproved comments" link in the upper-right. Confirm your action and all comments currently unapproved will be deleted.
